how they met
Their story began five years ago at Texas Tech University. McKinley and Seth first met when casually introduced by mutual friends but were nothing more than friends for almost two years before they went on their first date. They both love good music, so it was only fitting that their first date was to go see movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. There was a spark right from the beginning, they had the same sense of humor, energy, and love for adventure.
the proposal
While on vacation in Cancun, Mexico with the Ruiz family, Seth surprised McKinley by proposing before dinner the second night of their vacation. He thought of every detail but most importantly flew her dad to Mexico for the big moment! As they were entering the restaurant for dinner, Seth got down on one knee, told her, "from our first date I knew that I loved you and I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you," and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said, "YES!"
